The biggest story of her life is the one he wants to hide.

I’m homeless by choice.
I have no intention of returning to my former life after what I’ve done.
This—living among the filth and discarded remnants of others—is what I deserve.
As atonement for my sins, I give back; I help those who cannot help themselves. But it’s always under the guise of anonymity.
Newspaper headlines throughout the city are clamoring to discover my identity. Including the beautiful woman who manages to see through my “armor.”
She has the capability to put my entire life at risk.

The Good Samaritan by RC Boldt really tackles a stigma. I love the thought process behind the story more than I love the love story. The headlines that lead off every few chapters are touching and make me want to go out and do good things. I love how those chapters give us an even close glimpse to the real person living and hiding inside Jude. Jude is so hard and closed off while looking at the outside but on the inside, he wants nothing more than to love and be loved. I really found him to be such a kind and sweet man. He hangs so much on his shoulders… blame that isn’t his to own is heavy around his neck.

Faith is everything that Jude needs… metaphorically and physically. She’s a wonderful person for him and brings life, hope, and yes… faith back into his life. While Faith seems to wear her heart on her sleeve and seriously leads with it… Jude isn’t the only one keeping secrets. I turned smitten myself with Jude, the way he treats Faith and the sweet and kind things he says before he can put his gruffness up is heartwarming.

Anyway, I could go on and on about the amazingly wholesome characteristics that Mrs. Boldt gave her characters… I won’t. The Good Samaritan is an original and admirable story that all readers should experience for themselves. The premises of people doing good just to do good is wonderful and really filled my heart with happiness. I know that I walked away knowing that not everything is as it meets the eye. I walked away thinking that I shouldn’t judge as quickly, as harshly. Sometimes people are more than what we see.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
