RE-RELEASE: The Lucky Dress by Aimee Brown

THE LUCKY DRESS
BY AIMEE BROWN

About the book

Emi Harrison hasn’t been feeling particularly lucky lately.

Ever since her ex-fiancée, Jack Cabot, successfully shattered her heart into a million pieces. She’s managed to avoid him for a whole year, but all that’s about to change at her brother Evan’s wedding…

She will have to face Jack, Jack’s sister, Jack’s parents, and Jack’s new girlfriend:
a mean girl that just won’t quit.
What could possibly go wrong?

With her lucky dress on, all bets are off, and maybe
Emi will find her happily-ever-after at last?

Perfect for fans of Anna Bell, Jo Watson and Sophie Kinsella.

I’m always so tickled when I find a new to me author. Finding out that Little Gray Dress was Aimee Brown’s debut book as well, was completely perfect for me! I love watching author’s grow over time and seeing their work develop. I was bummed that she hasn’t released another one since but now I get to follow along with her… which is my plan!

The Little Gray Dress is what I think of as a beach read. It was a quick and light listen. The writing was so fresh and really pull you in. I really enjoyed that this wasn’t romance surrounding intimate scenes. This was a lovely look at the romance in relationships without all the physical side overtaking it. I enjoyed the flashback style of Ms. Brown’s writing.

The narrator, Stephanie Einstein really added a beautiful voice and heart to Little Gray Dress.  I was so pleased with how well Ms. Einstein captured the personalities. I loved the way she really created the people, how they came to life in her hands. Such a fun and light listen this was!

I received a complimentary copy of this audio book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

About the author

Aimee Brown is a writer of romantic comedies set in Portland, Oregon, and an avid reader. She spends much of her time writing, raising three teenagers, binge-watching shows on Netflix and obsessively cleaning and redecorating her house.

She’s fluent in sarcasm and has been known to utter profanities like she’s competing for a medal.

Aimee grew up in Oregon, but is now a transplant living in cold Montana with her husband of twenty years, three teenage children, and far too many pets. She is a lot older than she looks and yes, that is a tattoo across her chest.

Aimee is very active on social media. Stop by and say hello!
