It has been a while since I read a Katy Regnery story or in this case, Callie Henry. This is a seriously sweet insta-love romance. Hannah is extremely relatable. I think this would be the perfect book for many girls coming of age. There’s so many personal issues and struggles you have as a teenager and Hannah would be a great role model. Liam is just as sweet. While they both have some issues and struggle, they seemed to have just clicked together. I just adored how Liam saw Hannah. Not everything in life is based on looks and he was just so amazing with how he thought of her. I really think every woman and girl alike has a bit of Hannah inside them. It’s a struggle to stay confident.
I’m just thrilled with this story. I love the thought process behind this story. It’s sweet and real and pulled me in. I knew it was going to be more of a coming of age story and don’t normally read them but I was intrigued by the synopsis and I’m so happy I read this. It made me want to reevaluate how I think of myself. Callie Henry, or Ms. Katy Regnery, created such an emotionally-charged story. I’m beyond giddy to see that this is going to be a series. A series I am going to earmark for my 9 year old to read in the next 5 years.
My only real complaint would be the timeframe covered in the story. We didn’t get much of the characters real life. We mostly got the wedding story. I just wish we had more. A wedding is when you see everyone at their best. I struggled with the quickness of the feelings but immediately thought back to my teenage years. I remember how everything just FELT. All the emotions are so vivid and strong during those teenage years so I can totally get Liam and Hannah jumping right in.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
