First, if you can get by that cover without feeling the NEED
for this book than you are stronger than I. This cover just does something to
me. The creativity and beauty in it is just all consuming. I can’t look away
from the beauty of it! It matches the words perfectly by Anne Malcom. There is
just something about the stories by Ms. Malcom. She can pull me in and push me
away with one sentence… but I always keep coming back to her novels. These
stories are more than just a made up mess to me… these characters are etched into
my heart with what Ms. Malcom puts them through. It’s all incredibly
devastating and beautiful in the same breath. The book is really long, just an
FYI, but it’s written in this way that you feel as if you are in it, not
reading it.
Battle of the Broken is the story of Gage and Lauren. I’ve
been ready for Gage’s story for eons, or at least that’s how it feels anyway. Gage,
oh beautiful and broken Gage… so broken and dangerous. How him and Lauren fall
for each other is quite the wonder. Lauren and her organized state. She is
everything Gage is not. However, not all is as it seems with Lauren… who knows
what she’s hiding… what secrets she has. Ms. Malcom gives us such a gritty and
real story that it pulled at me. I loved them seeing each other, finding each
other… they really recognize themselves in each other.
Sit down… grab some tissues and hold onto your heart.
Watching two beautiful people, broken people, grapple and try to hold onto each
other and find their way will make your heart bend and break a bit. It’s one on
the best stories Ms. Malcom has given us yet! Superb!

Anne Malcom
has been an avid reader since before she can remember, her mother
responsible for her book addiction. It started with magical journeys
into the world of Hogwarts and Middle Earth. As she grew up, her reading
tastes grew with her. Her obsession with books and romance novels in
particular, gave Anne the opportunity to find another passion, writing.
Finding writing about alpha males and happily ever afters more fun than
reading about them, Anne is not about to stop any time soon.
Raised in small-town New Zealand, Anne
had a truly special childhood, growing up in one of the most beautiful
countries in the world. She has backpacked across Europe, ridden camels
in the Sahara, eaten her way through Italy, and had all sorts of crazy
