If ever there was a beginning that was a total wrecking ball of destruction... VERONA BLOOD is it!! Good Lord, that opening chapter accelerates your heart rate from the ground running!! After that, there’s no stopping this book. You have to steam through every word written by the masterfully, dark and twisted mind that is Lili St. Germain.

I am beyond thrilled to know there will be three more books in this series. Verona Blood lays down the story and introduces our characters with great perfection and detail. Avery is seriously spunky and driven. I was instantly pulled in my her strong personality and the sheer determination she has for the things she wants. I wasn’t too sure about Rome to begin with but he’s a total catch!! I love his domineering and aggressive behavior but under that he has this soft spot for Avery. He’s not good at hiding it!

These two are in a horrible situation and that ending made me jump right out of my seat! Now, we waited for this book. For months. It doesn’t matter to me how long I wait. I’ll still read the words of Lili St. Germain. Ms. Germain creates a trues mindf@ck of a story. She doesn’t owe her readers a thing except her words when she’s finished writing them. Authors and readers have a give and take relationship... she writes her stories and if we want to read them, we buy the book. She doesn’t owe us reasons behind her book being later than she had wanted it to release. Life happens for all of us. Thank goodness I don’t have to explain everything away when I’m not perfect or when my family needs me. I can’t wait for the next installment but if I have to wait a while for it, it will suck, but it is what it is and I’m sure I’ll still read it as soon as I can and be finished before the day is done.
