He’s playing for the heart she’s had sidelined for years.

IVY HAYES

Dating can be a rocky journey. Once the new shine wears off,
you may end up with a case of buyer’s remorse.

That’s where I come in. I set the backdrop and coach you through the breakup.

Don't want overblown drama, hard feelings, or a drink tossed in your face? Then I'm your fairy godmother, child.

BECKET JONES

As an NFL quarterback, endorsement ads and the media pandering after me are all part of the game.

Ivy Hayes is the first woman who doesn't care about my  money and the notoriety that goes along with it.

But I'm a long-term guy, and she operates strictly in the now. Which means I need to bring my A-game.

Otherwise, I’ll end up getting ditched.

Let’s just get this out of the way, that cover… it’s lickable! Like I’m hoping it’s in matte because it’ll looks super gorgeous, but I kind of want it in glossy so I can lick it… like several times! I have this thing for back and shoulder muscles and Becket’s are out of this world hot! You know what makes this even sexier than it is? The fact that Becket is the SWEETEST and the most CARING male character I have ever read about… even more so with him being a sports star. He deserves a place on the Book Boyfriend Hall of Fame! Like top spot! Becket is just the entire package wrapped up in a pretty bow! We’ve got this sexy as sin football player who helps and gives back to the community, loves his family and friends, is completely panty-dropping adorable with kids, and is just so charming and witty. It shouldn’t be fair! I kept waiting for his evil, serial killer side to unleash, but alas, I never saw it!

I just adore how this all started, with previous characters from “He Loves me… Knot.” Seeing previous characters is always so refreshing. It’s like meeting old friends for tea! The back and forth text messages were perfect and so completely realistic to everyday life that I felt like I was spying. Ivy is so different from Becket. She’s so aloft and guarded. However, when she starts to drop her walls, we see another side to Ivy. I have to mention the secondary characters especially Tank. I really picture him as this HUGE 300 lb football player with this soft and caring heart with an amazing ability to cut through tension with his humor.

So besides this being a completely heart-warming and adorable romance, this book made me think and reevaluate myself. I now believe whole-heartedly that everyone deserves an “I love me” room. It doesn’t hurt to love yourself and to be proud of your accomplishments. I just loved the way it made me reconsider how I think of myself, how I value myself. Be sure to follow the link at the end of the book for that extra scene… I think we might get a bit of a hint for what’s coming up next for RC Boldt!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
