RELEASE DAY: Love Broken by JD Hollyfield

Title: Love Broken
Author: J.D. Hollyfield
Genre: RomCom/Contemporary
Release Date: February 26, 2018

My name is Katie Beller, but the world, as of late, knows me as Bailey Swan, the love guru behind my bestselling book.

Want the shortened version? Here it is:

Love was stupid.

A fake. A farce

Love was broken.

Women everywhere were eating up my advice and fighting back against fake love. My book started a relationship revolution. And I stood by my story.

Until I met Charlie Bates.

When I throw all my own rules and advice out the window after a week-long rendezvous, I start to wonder just how real my words were. Maybe love might be just a little more complicated than I thought.

Maybe I’m the one who’s love broken.

Love Broken by JD Hollyfield started out hilarious! I couldn’t get through a page without laughing out loud at the antics of Kate or pen-named Bailey Swan and the highly-swoonable Charlie Bates aka Chase Green. Then, I started to see another side to Love Broken… the insecure side, the incredibly relatable side. The side that we all have to ourselves that say we aren’t good enough. This book is more than just a laugh a second, it teaches you something valuable about yourself!

As someone who has yet to attend an author signing, this book gives me a seriously fun look. I hope more than anything that I am not as crazy as these ladies… chasing after the handsome Mr. Bates. Anyway, it’s fun to see a side of book signings and how crazy we readers really are! I adored every single thing about this book… the humor, the scared-insecure side, the side that starts to see love as something more… that unattainable!

JD Hollyfield is hilarious, her writing flows! She’s vivid and fun, but descriptive and sexy. This book has what every romance reader is looking for! I just can’t even handle how much this author makes me laugh! However, my favorite part of this book was how Hollyfield used humor to pull out the bigger issue of how we perceive ourselves. I know that I am my biggest critic. I’m so hard on myself and am constantly pointing out why I can’t or shouldn’t do something. Hollyfield breaks it down for us in a super relatable book that I stayed up till 3 am reading and finishing. I can’t do anything but give Love Broken 5 HUMONGO LAUGING STARS!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
