L.A. Fiore is the author of several books including Beautifully Damaged, Collecting the Pieces and His Light in the Dark. Her favorite movie is Star Wars, a love her son shares. They hope to build their own Millennium Falcon one day. She would like to meet the Winchester Boys to thank them for enlightening her on the versatility of salt as not just a food enhancer, but as protection from supernatural threats. And she thinks it would be interesting to be a zombie, to get an idea of what life is like as a brain-addicted fiend so she can be their voice to tell their side of the story. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and kids, their two spoiled cats and their awesome dog.

Savage by LA Fiore… this book absolutely blew me away! I mean, look the cover to start with… don’t you just feel like the cover model is staring into your soul? I swear, he can see right through me and he knows it all!! The colors and his eyes are seriously entrancing! It’s a gorgeous cover, yet, it’s so simple looking! Fiore’s words are just as entrancing as the cover. I was enthralled!

Savage starts out totally brutal and it really sets the pace for the book. It’s deep and intense and pulled me in. Brochan McIntyre has had a rough life… I won’t get into all that but he’s broken. It’s so intense and dark!! His past haunts him and his past saddens me and made my heart ache for him. Lizzie Danton finds herself with an inherited cottage in Scotland (if only) and once she arrives, she finds that she feels a connection, she feels she’s found a place she can call her home.

Brochan is a total enigma… people don’t know what to think of him. Is he a werewolf? People whisper and point. What he is, is broken, he’s reserved and keeps to himself. I’ll tell ya… I’ve never been to Scotland, I’ve never researched it or anything and I suck and geology… but I felt like Fiore totally brought me to Scotland!! I felt like I got to live it through Lizzie’s eyes… it’s like having a child and experiencing life over through them. I loved it! The foods, the foreign language, the views of the land. It was a masterpiece! Fiore told a magically story of a place that seems like a dream and two people who deserve more than they’ve ever had!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
