I HATE that cover…ha! Kidding! It’s totally amazing! I mean, just LOOK at it! It’ll make you drool… yes; he left me drooling all over my chin! I just couldn’t help myself; if you read a few reviews… pick and choose… you’ll see a mention of this cover! You just can’t help but be pulled into it! 

So we’ve established that the exterior is perfection… now, the innards… they were better! I know, unbelievable! But, for me, this was an amazing story of young adult meets new adult with some troubled souls finding a kindred spirit in each other. I have to mention that with a couple with names like Rose and Spider, how could they not fall for each other?! The symbolism that it creates in my head is just plain beautiful! I’m usually not a big fan of such large time jumps, I’d rather have a book dedicated to the young adult portion and another book as the new adult… but this worked for me. Maybe because it was a humungous jump, I don’t know, but I loved the story!

Of course, Ilsa’s writing was superb! The way she’s able to create such a forbidden love story so flawlessly is perfection! She wove two people together that seemed so at odds but work so well, it shows perfectly how fate can intervene. I didn’t expect such a beautiful love story out of a step bother/sister story (my first). I’ve never found these books appealing but this story didn’t give me that dirty, taboo feeling… it was just love and fate!
