Joey:

They say you never get a second chance at a first impression. That is, unless you’re my gorgeous temporary neighbor.

My first impression of Theo Crawford was anything but wonderful. He was discourteous, anti-social, and a drunken mess.

My second impression wasn’t much better when he inconsiderately woke me on a Sunday morning.

But by my third impression, my views toward Theo began to soften. Maybe he isn’t as bad as he seems.

And now? Well, let’s just say my defective heart doesn’t care that he’s gay, because I’ve fallen for him.

Theo:

Wait, what?

I’m not gay.

Where’d she get that impression?

Wow… Sierra Hill knocked her first RomCom outta the park!!!! It’s gone baby! I’m serious too! I’ve loved, like completely adored her Sweetness series, but this book was so different from those. It was almost like reading a completely different writer! I’m so happy that she explored another genre because this RomCom had me hooting out laughter! After so many dark or intense reads this was just what I needed to pull me out into the light!

Sierra Hill found a perfect balance of fun and witty banter with sex appeal and drama. I can be a fine line and I imagine it’s hard to straddle that line and not be more one than the other… but this was right on point! I love dual POV and I was so happy to get both Theo’s and Joey’s sides. They were so fun with their banter and playfulness. I really enjoyed the slow burn of it. I feel like they built an actual relationship… maybe passed on a bit of confusion on Joey’s side but that made it even better (and completely comical!!)! I adored the characters… these were people you could relate to and like! Don’t worry romance lovers, Hill brings the heat but it’s a build up… once we get there it’s SCORCHIN’!!

Usually I make my decisions to read a book on just a blurb, a cover, or sometimes (but rare, like maybe a handful) I just read it because I love the author. I read this blurb… barely… and I knew I had to read it!! Hill is quickly adding herself onto that list of authors I just read without a cover or blurb. Her writing is superb! I flew through this book and it ended way before I wanted it too!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
