The only thing that could have made this book better for me was making it into dual POV. I was dying to know what was going on in Shay's mind. He had the most romantic "confession" time ever! It was so sweet. I dare a woman not to fall for him after that!! It was seriously swoon-worthy!
Good God man, Tijan can sure write the romantic pep talk! I know I was wiping tears away after reading Shay's! He was such a fantastic character. Now, Kennedy drove me a bit batty at times. However, as someone who has two older, very popular brothers, I can understand what she is going through.
Tijan gives us an intense young adult book and I LOVED every minute of it. Hate to Love You had everything in it that a good book needs... love, lust, hot guys, friends, suspense, even a bit of confusion. If you enjoy a nice, solid romance with a touch of sex and tons of conflict... this is the one for you. Tijan gives us a reminder of what it was like to be 18 and to be young and in love again. All that self doubt just comes rushing back as you get into Kennedy's thoughts.
