‘We love Aussies,’ they said, ‘the readers will eat you up’.

Those seven little words got me on a plane to the USA for the ‘Raunchy with a touch of sexiness – Valentine’s Day Author Event’ in Miami.

I’m a romance author. A girl with a vivid imagination, and an overactive sex drive.

Oh, and yes I’m Australian

When I agreed the so-called love of my life had just walked out on me, leaving me with two little girls. All I wanted was a little fun and some no strings attached fun while I was there.

It would be my very own ‘what happens in Miami, stays in Miami’.

Unless I fall in love with an American….

There’s no such thing as a happily ever after in real life.

This was my fist Stacey Johnston book. I knew once I saw that gorgeous cover that I wanted to read this book… like BADLY!! I mean… did you look at it? It’s awesome! It’s bright and fun… it just pulls you in!

Once you get in, Stacey does a magnificent job of keeping you here. I was pulled into this story of an average every day woman struggling to find herself again after a failed marriage and two children. I completely LOVED Cait!! She was just so upbeat and so darn fun!

It was kind of fun to get a bit of a glimpse into what the Indie book world might be like. The characters were so awesome! I instantly liked Katie and Addy. I love it when people are just brutally honest. The scene in the changing room with Addy helping Cait get this tight dress on was amazing and I was laughing my way through half of the book… then… it got hot!! Where did all this heat come from? Oh, that’s right… CJ! Their banter and heat was just off the CHARTS!!!

This was the PERFECT light-hearted read that had me chuckling. Of course, there was some drama. There wouldn’t be women without the drama! Ha! But it wasn’t overly full of drama. This book even pulled on my heart strings a bit. I can relate to Cait’s fears and insecurities of being a woman. A woman that is newly on her own and is trying to find her footing again.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
