From USA Today bestselling and award-winning author K.K. Allen comes a steamy enemies-to-lovers standalone romance.

Kai’s life is a series of choreographed steps, each one shielding her from the tragic memories of her past. Audition, dance, paycheck, repeat. It’s a broken record, but it’s what keeps her world spinning.

When a tall, mysterious stranger zooms into her life wielding his Aussie accent like it’s a weapon and effectively shattering her tightly woven cocoon, her safe and secure world quickly begins to unravel.

Sebastian’s theater production is a sinking ship. To add insult to injury he’s obligated to give it one final run.

The mission is simple—salvage what he can before they all go down with the wreckage.

But first he needs to convince the woman who despises him,
despite her darkest fears, to join the cast.

Without her, his past will undoubtedly destroy his future. But with her... he may be opening himself up to more of a challenge than he bargained for.

I love how KK Allen's books give us this artistic, creative story which seriously matches with the way her words seem to just flow like poetry. It just all works so well together. Allen shows her real talent for vivid writing. I enjoyed the way Kia and Sebastian went from just knowing each other in passing to building a close friendship that was really based on respect and a shared passion plus a mutual budding attraction that they both desperately wanted to fight. I didn't exactly get the enemies to lover’s genre but that isn't a big factor for me. I don't read very many books based solely on the genre.

Kia and Sebastian give us a pretty tense and emotional story. They both come together with a baggage (don't we all) but they are so drawn to each other that it was only a matter of time before one of them cracked. They felt so real to me... the way they played and bantered back and forth, the way they fought and loved... it just felt so authentic. I was totally invested in their story! They had each other's back though. Integrity is something that's so important to me and I felt that in them. These two were able to fight their demons and go after their dreams, not just because they wanted them enough but because the other was always next to them, fighting with them. I love that. Plainly put, it's a gorgeous story of two people both scared but strong. Definitely a must read!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
